A three-day free health clinic in Indio provided vital medical and dental services to approximately 2,000 individuals this past weekend. The event, held at the Empire Polo Grounds, drew hundreds of residents from across the region seeking care they might otherwise struggle to access.
The clinic offered a wide range of services including dental cleanings, fillings, and extractions, vision exams with free prescription glasses made on-site, medical physicals, and various health screenings. For many attendees, this represented a critical opportunity to address long-standing health concerns without the burden of cost.
The initiative was organized by California Careforce in partnership with Goldenvoice. It relied heavily on the support of hundreds of volunteer medical professionals, including doctors, dentists, nurses, and optometrists, alongside numerous non-medical volunteers who handled registration and logistics. The collaborative effort aimed to bridge gaps in healthcare access for the uninsured and underinsured within the community.
Patients expressed profound gratitude for the services, with many noting the compassionate care they received. The clinic's success highlights the ongoing and significant need for accessible healthcare services in the area, providing essential support to nearly two thousand people over its three-day operation.
