A new partnership is strengthening mental health services in the Bronx, where a local nonprofit is working to close gaps in care. Full Circle Life Enrichment Center, a community-based organization, has teamed up with TD Bank to expand its reach and provide more resources to residents struggling with mental health challenges.
The collaboration, described by leaders as a "full circle" moment, brings together financial support and grassroots expertise. Full Circle offers counseling, support groups, and wellness programs tailored to the diverse needs of Bronx residents, many of whom face barriers such as cost, stigma, or a lack of nearby providers. TD Bank's contribution will help fund these services, including outreach efforts to reach people who might not otherwise seek help.
"This is about meeting people where they are," said a representative from the center. The funding allows the organization to hire additional staff and offer sliding-scale fees, making care more accessible. Bank volunteers have also participated in community events, helping to reduce stigma around mental health.
For the Bronx, where rates of anxiety and depression have risen in recent years, the partnership represents a tangible step forward. By combining local knowledge with corporate resources, Full Circle aims to create a sustainable model of support. The hope is that other businesses will follow suit, recognizing that mental health is a community issue requiring collective action.
