One email described finding feces on top of important documents and personal belongings. Another message from a staff member expressed disgust at having to clean up after the pests before starting the workday. The emails suggest that workers have repeatedly flagged the issue to building management, but little has been done to address the source of the infestation.

The health department is responsible for enforcing sanitation codes across the city, making the situation particularly ironic for those who work there.
